Thomas L. Phillips, Jr. was born in Lynchburg, Virginia, on January 2, 1954. He attended Rustburg High School, then the College of William and Mary where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. After graduating from William and Mary with high honors in English in 1976, Mr. Phillips Jr. attended the University of Virginia Law School. While at UVA Law School he was a member of both the Editorial Board and the Managing Board of the Virginia Law Review. He graduated from the University of Virginia Law School in 1978, at which time he was awarded The Order of the Coif (An academic honor for law school graduates).

Mr. Phillips Jr. is a member of the Lynchburg and Campbell County Bar Associations; the Virginia State Bar; and the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association. His practice is devoted to serving clients as an accident and personal injury attorney, and to defending criminal cases, including DUI’s.

Mr. Phillips serves clients throughout the Central Virginia. He regularly handles cases in the city of Lynchburg, and Amherst, Nelson, Campbell, and Appomattox.
